Okay Okay, sooo the above title isnt true, but what if it was?!.. People would be in despare, the world would not be the same granted that cellphones have come a long way from the short, heavy stubby nokia to the slim, touchscreen android. The Iphone has evolved like a million and one times and things just keep getting better and better... or are they?.. There have been various accounts where i've heard "Texting is "dumbing down" this generation and others to come." The news reports: "Schools in some nations are taking out cursive writing and teaching the kids in 2nd grade to use computers and text messaging instead". Now i dont know about you, but i see a major problem with this. Cell phones are awesome dont get me wrong but they are the "easy" way out. They have "smart" everything on them. You dont even have to spell the words out, everything is "T9" and "Short-Handed" and this isnt helping with furthering your vocabulary. [ I wont lie, i've even caught myself writing in short-hand at school, My teacher said what is "ppl".. oops! lol ]. Also, they are causing distress on the roads. First it was driving and talking now we have driving and texting which is causing more accidents and deaths than usual. This is crazy. What would the world do if cellphones were banned, What would you do?.. Sometimes i think about it, Technology has its advantages and disadvantages. We as humans just need to know the limit and apply it. Use common sense with these devices because not only can they give us further opportunities in life, our business, jobs and so forth but also shorten our lives and cause us to be lazy at mind and action. Most Teenagers spend there time on the internet, texting, listening to an ipod or watching tv. Whatever happened to going outside and playing ball or just hanging out with friends. Devices cause us to become isolated and conceited if you havent noticed it, just think about it. We spent hours on facebook and twitter doing NOTHING. Just sitting there updating over and over, " Wow, what fun". I dont think its useful unless you're really talking about something that'll benefit you. No doubt its fine to communicate and meet new people but gosh, just know you're limits!!!! I just felt the need to speak on this subject a little. I dont have a cellphone now thanks to the touchscreen i had being so slim and "smart" that when i dropped it, it cracked up the middle /= But im not dying from not having it. Yea i get extremely bored because i was one of those text-obssessed teens but im okay. I just began drawing to keep my mind going, and now im blogging for a benefit soo here i am. I hope i made you guys realize a few things!
